Hello Readers, my name is Machados13 and this is actually my first official post on the Deep iSubstack mailbag. I’ve been meaning to post on this for awhile. Anyway, Today I’m here to talk to you about accents.
If you’ve seen those videos of Harris messing up her accent based on who she thinks she is speaking too, you should look those up. They are quite hilarious. Liberals have a term for this, “Code Switching” and apparently Black people are actually allowed, but discouraged (by Liberals) to do so. Code Switching refers to how black people will sometimes “talk white” for job interviews or something when they feel they are around white people. As if nobody else on the planet talks differently in a job interview. In fact, If you’re reading this you probably are a gen z chuddy, which means you have like 5+ code switches. Off the top of my head, Professional, Family, Friends, Online, Online Friends, “Around the Hoes”, LibLarp (Professional in School). My point being its basic fundamental human behavior to “code switch.” Turns out its beneficial to act in the way the people around you do. That’s not news, everyone knew this, which brings me to my excuse of what to actually talk about. This is a lighthearted subject like I enjoy talking about. Have you ever noticed Gen Z accents?
A Gen Z accent is very tough to spot, because you can’t actually hear someone through text, which means its more about lingo then anything. But sometimes you can pick up an accent in voice chat in a videogame or irl. One of my favorite accents is the “Valorant Accent” (Subdivision of Overwatch accent). You can tell these people because they speak in the softest voice ever like youd think it was a gay lisp if that wasn’t actually how they talk. You hear that soft male voice in a class or something pay close attention to see if they say “No cap” (which isn’t fair because everyone says that, but like overly), using the word trolling a lot as a verb, “I’m not trolling you man”, “SHEEEESH” (They mostly stopped doing this) basically anyone who talks like MoistCritical. That’s a Valorant Accent. Pay close attention to anyone who talks like that in real life and ask them if they play Valorant. You’ll get a yes 90% of the time, and the other 10% they play overwatch still or another game.
See the below video like 10 seconds in where the guy with the valorant accent starts talking. Its pretty humorous!
There’s a sports game/warzone accent. These are similar to regular gen z dudes, but go out of their way to use negroisms. The people in the above clip (not the valorant players) sound like it a bit. You can tell these guys pretty easily because they’re usually the most up to date on gen z negroism slang, Playing CFB25 with my friends was actually the first I heard crash out used in a sentence. Some of their slang is quite funny. I actually laughed when I heard “I’m about to fuck these kids, No diddy” in warzone one time when that was a thing like 6 months ago. They tend to use stuff like “Im gassing up ______”. These guys usually sound like wiggers.
The actual multiplayer cod accent is one of the funniest. They speak a completely different language if you meet the right people. I will demonstrate in a sentence. “Im challing heady, ABSOLUTE snaking behind grandma, I lost full its chalked. Im a detriment I costed.” Only heard in ranked cod games, no other games.
There’s a Rainbow six Siege root of accents referring to the many tac shooter communites out there. (Siege being the general startpoint with the other games branching out) Its pretty easy to tell these guys apart, they tend to refer to trolling behavior as Baiting, you see a lot of them on ifunny comment sections, Also the first people to say “Touch Grass” I think. They do say bro a lot. The accent is really choppy, it sounds like a mouthbreather but they usually have great mics. It’s usually deeper though, very tough to articulate what they sound like, but they usually sound like a Chinese-American doing a Midwest Accent.
Don’t get me started on the non multiplayer fps games. Im sure we know what the gacha game accent sounds like. Im sure theres a difference between like genshin impact and the one they just put asuka in with the booties, but all that is just hapa filipino mouthbreathers to full filipino mouthbreathers. JRPG gamers have some pretty funny accents, usually sound like the valorant accent but a little more fancier words and less negroisms (they still sound retarded).
What do you guys think!? Any accents you’ve guys noticed? Any experiences with code switching? I’ve always thought it was so lame + gay when people wouldn’t code switch in a professional environment. Thank you Readers! Machados Out!

Hockey accent is still alive and well
I still play 2009 MW2 for the most part, so there's a lot of Croats, Russians, and Albanians. Or Albanians that live in Germany but will talk shit in the name of Alban. They'll talk/insult you in their broken accent but throw in words like faggot, nigger, etc. It's broken English plus a stillshot of vocab obtained from 2010-2014 CoD lobbies. It's quite charming really. They also ask me retarded shit too. In broken English: "you like in n out bro??" "yah cause im go to in n out my cock in your mom ass!!!!". It's honestly really funny in person, they just use the hard R for all American/English speaking interactions.
